A Weekend in California

We had a great weekend in California! We flew in Friday night. Sweetheart had a little harder time this time, mostly because she doesn't sleep as much anymore and wanted to get up and play, but still proved to be a good little traveler. Saturday we spent all morning just hanging around CG's mom's house while waiting for me to finishing working. (Yes, I still had to work Saturday morning, but at least I could take the work with me!) After that we decided to go see a movie, but since the movie theater didn't have the movie we wanted, we kept driving South and ended up in Santa Cruz. We went to the boardwalk, and Marquis and CG went on the roller coaster. CG and I went in the haunted house. We also enjoyed some fresh Marini's taffy and deep-fried twinkies. We had dinner that night at Ciao Bella, a crazy restaurant in town. While searching online to see how it's spelled, I found it described as, "A combination of Dr. sues, disco and 60's hippy psychedelic decor." And that fits pretty well! We went to sacrament meeting with CG's mom and family on Sunday, and then left right after to go to the airport and come home. Our visits are never long enough, but it was so nice to spend the weekend together! I'll post a bunch of pictures in another post.
