Ok, I will finally admit it.

Sweetheart is blond! For those that don't know the story, all of Marquis's brothers and sisters are blond, or at least started out blond. They all married brunettes. Since blond is a recessive gene, you wouldn't think that ALL the grandkids would be blond, but somehow they are! (Or started out that way, anyway!) I told Marquis's parents that I would be the one to give them their first brunette grandchild. Of course, when I said that, I was thinking more that we would adopt a cute little African-American baby or maybe an Asian one, but when Sweetheart was born with dark hair with a touch of red, it gave me hope, I thought I had accomplished my task! But no, her hair is growing in white-blond, and the only darkness to it is what is left from the hair she was born with. My plans are foiled again! Of course, she's still beautiful, though! This is not the greatest picture of the two of them, but it does show off their blondness.
