We are done moving! For now, anyway, we should be doing more of that soon, but after this past week/weekend I'm ready to say that we are NEVER moving again. Marquis and I are like gypsies, we have moved 8 times in the past 10 years. Holding still has never been our strong point. We have used Uhaul every time we have moved, and it has usually gone ok. After this past experience, I would like to tell everyone to never, ever, ever use Uhaul if there is any way to get around it. I still have to calculate exactly how much money their mistakes cost us, but it is in the hundreds of dollars. But I want to stay positive here, so I will just say a gigantic THANK YOU!!!! to all the people that pitched in and helped us out. My cute sis was there packing boxes, my dad was her driver and the babysitter, despite the fact he is still recovering from his surgery, the Elder's Quorum boys were awesome, Marquis's parents and sister helped so much, and so many other people. Thank you, we could not have done it without you!
And now for a quick tour around our new digs. I'm warning, this is very, very frightening.
This is the hallway through the boxes from our front door to the bedrooms. Our new place is super cute, but it is about the size of a postage stamp, so we have some major dejunking to do. This is a good thing because I don't want to take even half of this crap on our next move in a couple of months, though.

My living room. I promise, it is under there somewhere!

My kitchen. Can I just say how sick I am of fast food?

Another view of the boxy corridor, this time from the bedrooms looking toward the front door.

This is one of only two clean rooms in the house. And the only bathroom in the whole place. Marquis and I have some adjustments! Hopefully our next place has more than one bathroom.

The girl's room. We are leaving CG's bed torn apart, because we should be in our next place before CG comes out again. The crib also broke during the move, so Sweetheart has been sleeping in the pack'n'play for now. Marquis's dad should have it fixed soon, though.

Here it is, my oasis of cleanliness. I would be certifiably insane by now if I didn't have this room to escape to. Yes, we are using dining chairs as nightstands. We don't have nightstands or a place to put the dining chairs, so I figured this was a win-win!

Now I am going to go unbury my kitchen so Marquis can make me a real, home-cooked meal tonight. I may post after pictures later after I can dejunk and restore some sanity to our new little home.

I'm glad you sold your house!
Sorry we missed all the fun! :) Now you can see why I told Paul I had reached the point that I would only move with movers. You can save us a box for July.
Ooooooh boy. Nothing like trying to cram all of your earthly belongings into half the space (or less)! Glad you managed to at least get your bedroom parcelled off away from the mess. Come on over any time you want to spread your wings :).
