Ten whole years!!

Ten years ago today I married my sweetheart, my best friend. I can't believe the time has gone so quickly! There are many mushy things that I could say today, and actually probably will, but I have decided I don't want to do that in front of an audience. Instead, I am going to share a discovery my dad made just a week or two ago. He found a bunch of old rolls of film, had them developed, and had the pictures put on a CD. One of those rolls happened to be from our wedding day, and even though these pictures look grainy or streaky, and definitely not professional, (sorry Dad) I had so much fun looking at them!

For example, this one:

How many people can say that their sister, one of their best friends, and whole flock of other friends played the bagpipes for them at their wedding?

Not only that, but how many people can get the guys in the wedding party to wear skirts... oh, I mean kilts... and look this happy about it?

My one sister wasn't all that happy about me getting married, as you can see. She was a good sport and has loosened up quite a bit. The other cute sister just smiled and looked cute, she didn't mind.

[Edit - My sister has informed me that yes, she was happy about me getting married, she was just making a funny face for the camera. In every picture that we have of her. Just kidding Lacey!! We do have pics of your beautiful smile at the wedding, and I know you were/are happy for me. :) ]

I love this one because you can see my husband's sexy smile. Isn't he handsome?

Just don't look at my face, I'm not sure what I am doing there.

I love this next one because my brother looks so super tiny. It's hard to believe that that tiny boy is now way taller than me, graduating High School in just about a week and a half, and preparing for a mission in the Fall.

He looked so cute and jaunty in that little kilt!

I can get the boys to wear the kilts, but it's more difficult to teach them to sit modestly. I laughed out loud when I saw this one.

I love this one because of how well you can see my dress. My perfect dress. Finding that dress is a story by itself, but I think I might save it for next year.

I'm sure if I blink then it will be time to write that post.

Your wedding was so beautiful. Our family is very lucky Marquis married you and brought you into it.

You know, if I'd have thought up what kind of wedding you and Marquis would have had, this is about what popped into my head! It's very, very much you guys to the hilt. I love the flowers in your hair, but most of all, I can't believe that you got that many guys to wear a KILT! Pretty sure that my brothers would have disowned me...
