First Haircut Ever!!

Like the overly sentimental mom that I am, I took way too many pictures. And I am posting every single one.

Since it was her first haircut, we took her to a place called Cookie Cutters that specializes in kids. They have a slide and video games in the lobby for the kids to play on while they wait. They also have a special first haircut package that includes the shampoo, cut, certificate, and a little baggie for the first lock of hair. My sentimental side and my cheap, deal-finding side had a battle for about five seconds, and then the cheap side won. After all I had brought in two cans of food for the food drive to get a $2 discount, I didn't want to waste that on the pricey package! I also talked them into giving me the first lock of hair baggie for free, hehe!

Sweetheart loved the slide, but was a little chicken. The silly turkey would only go down on her belly.

The kids get to choose where they want to sit, and they have an assortment of vehicles to choose from. I realize now that I didn't get a picture of the very cute pink car that Sweetheart got to sit in. They put in a movie for the kids to watch, which I'm sure not only entertains the kids, but also helps keep their heads still.

I'm not sure she even know what was going on, she was just glad to be watching Shrek!

This next pic was right after she cut the very first little lock of hair. *Sniff!* I'm not ready for this baby to grow up!!

She really did have a great time, she just looks zoned in every picture I took of her.

See the little motorcycle in the back of this one? That's where we should have put her, she loves motorcycles!

This is her "cheese" face. I almost wish we hadn't taught it to her, she does it now instead of smiling. I still think it's super cute, though!

And here's the finished product. It really looks basically the same, just more even in the back. We also have a plan from the lady about how to get those bangs to grow out. What a cutie!
