Wheeler Farm

With me and Sweetheart trying to do more fun things on my days off, Marquis has missed out on a lot because he has to work. One day we decided to go play after he got home on an early day so he could come, too.

As a bit of background, Sweetheart has a little toy cow that she loves. It is a teeny blanket that has a stuffed cow head and arms sewn into the middle of it. Sweetheart thinks it looks like it is wearing a dress, and so it must be a princess. She has named this thing Princess Pig. Yes, the cow is a pig. Somehow she has gotten cows and pigs mixed up and she can't really tell the difference. And even if she gets it right, if you then ask her what sound that pig makes, she will say moo, or oink for a cow. We decided introducing her to a few cows and pigs up close and personal might help, so we went to Wheeler Farm to check out the animals.

Unfortunately I forgot the camera, so the one picture I got was on my cell phone.

That also ended up being the only dreary, drizzly day that whole weekend, so we wandered around in the rain, but we still had a great time. Sweetheart really liked the chickens and bunnies. We saw a few cows, which she oinked at, but we could not find any pigs. I don't know if that will help her with her confusion or not, but I think that she had a good time, and loved having daddy there with us on one of our outings!
