The next day was Wednesday, and I had been able to get way more sleep and had my caffeine there to help me get through the day. Apparently I had it a little too close, though, because while I was sitting there working, Princess crawled over to say hi. I put her on my lap for a snuggle, and before I realized what she was doing she had grabbed my Dt. Coke and dumped it out right on the keyboard of my laptop. Marquis had taken the day off of work and came to my rescue, getting the computer pulled apart and dried off before any damage could be done. While he was doing that, Sweetheart pooped in her pants (big potty training post is coming up soon, stay tuned!). While I was cleaning that up, Princess discovered Grammy's house plants have all this super fun dirt in the bottom that you can pull out and pile on the carpet. While I was cleaning that up, Sweetheart noticed that the dishwasher has all these fun buttons that ours doesn't have, and I'm still not sure what she did to it. Grammy had been out of the house for all of this, but luckily got home soon after to help show me where the vacuum was for the rest of the dirt, and to fix whatever Sweetheart did to the dishwasher. Really that series of events was a pretty normal course of events for us, no big deal, but it just seemed so big when added on top of everything else for that week. The straw that broke the camel's back, to use an old cliche.
CG had planned to go to Gardner Village with her friend from our neighborhood, and I decided I needed a break, so I stopped working and took the girls for some retail therapy.
It's such a fun, pretty place, and we always have to stop at the candy store and get some fudge. Their jalapeno fudge is my favorite, yum! Just what I needed to cheer me up and get me back to working again.
The rest of that day was pretty good, except finding out that once again the water would not be fixed in time. I went home and got another bunch of clothes for everyone and we bunked down for another night. To be continued, just one more time...
