Flood Week - Part 4, The Conclusion

I totally forgot to mention the worst part of the Wednesday of flood week! Later that day, I dropped my laptop on it's side. For my job, I have a foot pedal that controls the doctor's voice for me, and it was plugged into the USB port on that same side of my laptop. It ruined both that USB port and the one next to it, and it also messed up the foot pedal so I couldn't just plug it in to the port on the other side. This made working a pain and meant that I had to order another pedal, which aren't cheap.

Anyway, on to Thursday! The pictures for Thursday have (finally) been found! Really Thursday was pretty good. Marquis had also taken the day off work, and everyone (except me and Bekah) went to the aviary to gander at some birds. (Get it? Gander? Because a gander is a bird? Oh, never mind.)

They don't look happy in that one, but they really did enjoy it a lot!

Thursday we also were able to go back home! Hooray! The disaster relief people had everything cleaned up and the carpets put back, and most importantly the water was back on! I'm so incredibly grateful we had a good place to stay, but it's always nice to be able to go back home.

Friday is the day that CG had to go back to California. There were many tears, and we all spent the rest of the weekend in mourning. Thankfully she will be back for just another short bit of time here in just a couple of weeks!
