I can do this because I combine a few different tricks. First of all, I order my diapers off of Amazon.com. It's so simple and easy, and the shipping is free. Free! A couple of days later a case of diapers appears on my doorstep like magic. There are two great ways to save money on diapers at Amazon. First, order them through their subscribe and save program. This saves you 15%. This does mean they will automatically send you more later unless you go in and cancel the subscription, but you can cancel it anytime, and they always email you before they send it with plenty of time for you to log in to your account and change it. The other way to save through Amazon is to sign up for their Amazon Mom program. It just takes a few minutes, and then you start getting another 15% off. Score! So now you are getting 30% off of diapers, which for the case of diapers I told you about above, makes the price $31.49 shipped, which is just $0.16 per diaper, the same as generic. Plus no trip to the grocery store, win-win!
My other trick is a website called www.swagbucks.com. If you go there and sign up, you can start collecting points for things you do anyway. You can get points for searching the web (which I do a ton of with my medical transcription stuff), for printing and using coupons, doing surveys and for so many other things. Once you earn enough points you can trade them in for lots of prizes. My favorite prize? Amazon gift cards!!! I probably get $10 a month in gift cards from them, which I then use to purchase the diapers. It takes pretty much no additional time for me to do this, but saves me so much money!
I hope this helps someone out there, I know that when you have little ones, every penny counts!
