Step Into My Office

A few days ago I was working away as usual when I glanced to the side of my laptop and saw this,

one of my reference books with a dinosaur tromping across and a stray hair clip. Normally I don't even notice things like this because it's just so common, but every once in awhile I suddenly realize just how lucky I really am. Yes, working at home is HARD, especially when your kids are as little and needy as mine, but like most hard things, how incredibly worthwhile!

I'm so glad that I don't have to go into an office any more. Yes, my office is typically very messy, like this:

(This is actually pretty clean compared to normal!)

But it does come with my own private gym:

And I am never lacking in entertainment. The girls' newest thing is to bring me things, like a pile of dolls, that they expect me to hold as I'm typing away.

Do you remember the scene from Labyrinth when Sarah eats the peach and is forgetting everything, and the weird old lady is putting all her toys and things on her back? We act out that scene at least once a day.

Did anyone else fall in love with David Bowie because of that movie?

And there is a small glimpse into my little world.
