The past week or so has been a little busy, and a little tough. The tough part involves a sickness that invaded our house starting last week as I was getting ready to take Princess to her 18 month well child check (how did this girl get to be 18 months old already?) and Sweetheart decided to wake up sick. My lovely mother-in-law came to my rescue and took Princess to her appointment (thanks again, Mom!) while I cleaned messes all day, and then all night. We thought we were in the clear when a few days later Princess got it, too. I'm not going to go into details, but oh, the vomit. I could tell you vomit stories! I've showered several times since all the fun this past weekend and I still feel icky just thinking about our fun adventure. I think we are finally through it all (knock on wood!), but Princess has still been rather cuddly and doing lots of this:

There has also been a problem with a water pipe in our driveway. This problem never actually affected us, just our poor neighbor, but every once in awhile the guys working outside will knock and ask me to flush a toilet, or to not flush or send any water down a drain for an hour or two. This is what it looks like in our driveway right now:
This guy is noisy! The whole house shakes as he is breaking up the concrete and placing it in a messy pile in the street. And I have no idea how long our driveway will be out of commission. Good times! Is it the weekend yet?
