Sweetheart talks all the time about what it will be like when she gets married. It usually involves something about a pretty dress and a castle and a prince. She was talking about this the other day and Marquis asked her what happens after you get married. Usually the answer to this is something about how she will then dance and dance with her prince (yes, we watch too many Disney movies), but instead this time she said, "Then you get angry!!!!!" (I promise she doesn't get this idea from us. I won't lie and tell you that we don't disagree, but our disagreements usually involve me crying and lots of talking instead of anyone getting angry. Sorry Marquis, you married a crier.)
While CG was here, Sweetheart was sitting on her big sister's lap with Marquis sitting behind them. Sweetheart turned and saw Marquis, held out her arms and said, "Daddy, I neeeeeeeed you!" (That girl is very heavy on the dramatics sometimes!) but then as he was reaching for her she looked at CG and must have changed her mind, because then she said, "But not right now," and snuggled back with CG.
We had some Jehovah's Witnesses stop by our house the other day. They didn't stay long, but we had a nice chat, they shared a scripture with us and we talked a little about Jesus. Later that day Sweetheart found an old set of my scriptures and carried them around for the next couple of days, calling them her "Scriptures of the Bible." During that time my dad stopped by, and Sweetheart turned into the cutest little Jehovah's Witness missionary. "Grandpa, do you see my Scriptures of the Bible? These are very special and they talk about Jesus. And Jesus saves us. We need to read in the Scriptures of the Bible, don't we Grandpa? It's very important. And then she made him open the scriptures and read some to her.
We are going to let Princess invade into Sweetheart's funny post, not because of something she said because really, who can understand anything that girl says? But she did the funniest thing. Last Sunday after church we got home and had lunch. The girls were taking a long time to eat, so after I finished I wandered away and got distracted playing on the internet. When I looked to check on the progress of her lunch a few minutes later, this is what I found:
Dead asleep, chewing on the wrong end of her fork. She didn't even wake up when I took it out of her mouth and put her to bed.
