Day 1 of our fun reunion weekend can be found here.
Morning came early at the cabin. At least Princess decided it would be early when she woke us somewhere between 5:00 and 6:00 with a little more screaming. Apparently she is really not fond of sleeping in new places. Her Poppa, who is also an early bird, took her out for a little quality time to the dock to watch the morning arrive,
and then down to the boats for a little kayak ride.
A reunion with just Marquis's parents, siblings, spouses and kids is awesome, but quite not enough to label the weekend an extravaganza. Adding in his dad's siblings and all the people that come with them makes it a little bit closer, but why not step it up a notch?
That day after packing up and cleaning the cabin, breakfast at the uncle's house and a few hours of driving, we found ourselves at an even larger reunion. This one was Marquis's dad's mom (got that?) and all her siblings and descendants. There were so many people, and there was lots and lots of yummy food. We filled up on some lunch, and then the kids hit the bounce house for a little while.
I have two beautiful nieces, one from Missouri and one from Ohio, who are instant best friends whenever they are able to see each other. Together they smothered my little girls in much love and affection, and the girls soaked up every minute.
Then it was time for a few rides on this little train they had going around the park.
Who is the girl in the glasses with Sweetheart? I have no clue, some distant cousin that Sweetheart decided was going with her on the train. She ran up and grabbed her hand and dragged her to the train, where the girl obligingly got in with Sweetheart and even smiled for my picture before they were off.
The next time around Princess got to go, too, riding with my Missouri niece,
and Sweetheart again, this time with my Ohio niece.
After a very fun afternoon we headed home, arriving just in time for a bath and bed for the girls. Princess slept much better that night, thankfully! Something about being exhausted after such a fun day and being in her own bed did the trick. What a great weekend!

That certainly looks like quite the Extravaganza! The cabin by the lake is beautiful setting for so much fun, so worth your 6 hour drive, right!
