In Which We Buy a House

More details and pics to come later, but first, I'm going to show you just how deep my geekiness runs.

This clip explains very well what the last month or so has been like.

I want you to especially pay attention to the part where Frodo says, "It's done!" and Sam says, "Yes, Mr. Frodo. It's over now."

Yes, it's done!

And then they both lay down on the hot rock surrounded by lava because their legs simply can't hold them up anymore. They lay there still in agony over their experience, and reminisce about what normal life used to be like, glad to finally be "at the end of all things."

And that, my friends, is what buying a home is like. We are still there, panting on that hot rock with cracked lips, too relieved to be at the end to be very excited yet.

Hopefully those giant eagles will soon be here to take us (and all of our furniture and stuff) to our nice, cozy new home.
