More Catching Up - December

I feel like I keep saying it over and over, I don't have time, I don't have time! This poor neglected blog! And I have so much to catch up on. And the strangest thing is that out of the blue this past week I have suddenly had job offers and opportunities thrown at me like crazy. It's very exciting, but I have turned them all down because my plate is already too full with to many awesome things!

But enough babbling, here is another round of old pictures that I want to catch up on. This is A LOT of pictures. I probably should have split this up into two posts. But I'm not going to.

First, CG came to visit for Christmas! Isn't this girl just so beautiful?

That meant lots of good sister time, I just love watching them all play!

And then Princess decided it was her turn to try out the emergency room. The stinker fell down the stairs the night before my brother and his wife went through the temple for the first time. Because I knew there was no way I was going to miss that, we decided to get her little foot checked out right away rather than take the wait and see approach.

The cute little stinker walked without crying or limping for the ER doctor, although her cheeks flushed bright pink and I could tell she was in pain. Princess was excited about her new bracelet with her name on it and mad that we couldn't take those awesome new jammies home. Her foot was only sprained, she limped for a couple of days and then was just fine.

Then we had some thrilling cousin time.

Christmas Eve finally came, and with it came the Christmas jammies. Sometimes you look so amazing that you just can't stop looking at yourself!

CG showing off her new jammies,

 And here are mine.

See those canyons in my forehead? That's what happens to you when you buy a house. Be forewarned!

And then Marquis let me take a picture of him modeling his new jammies.

Christmas morning, we went upstairs to see what Santa had done, and Princess sprinted over to the couch yelling, "A pear, a pear!" That girl is easy to please!

More CG shots, just because she is gorgeous and I miss her sweet face!

On Christmas Day we went to my grandma's house, where we were showered with lots of love and food and fun presents. And Princess also received the noisiest, most annoying toy known to man.

We made the annual trek up to see Marquis's parents at their time share Christmas hideout in the mountains and opened a lot more presents.

Post-Christmas coma.

I've mentioned before that we like to give our kids experiences instead of just more stuff. This year Santa gave our kids a train ride to see the lights on Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake. Princess was really not sure about the train ride, at all!

It was so cold! At that moment I was wondering if I would ever be able to feel my toes again, and how fast frostbite sets in.

Then back on the train!

At the family Christmas party for my side of the family, Princess and her cute cousin got in a little reading.

And she was introduced to basketball.

I think I'm in big, big trouble. She chased that ball for a long, long time! I actually turned to Marquis at one point and said, "Crap, does this mean we are going to have to go to sports games? I thought having only girls disqualified us, right? Please?!?"

To which he responded, "It's better than a ballet recital," and off he went to help her.

Stop encouraging her!!

 New, cute jackets!

We, of course, also had to make the traditional Christmas sugar cookies, even though by then it was after Christmas, yum!

Phew! There is all of December. Are you tired yet? Well rest up, lots more to come!
