One very, very early morning, we gathered up our girls and put them in the car. It was so early that it was still dark outside, but despite that, excitement about a trip to the zoo was just too much for those girls to go back to sleep. They arrived on their grandparents' doorstep awake and smiling.
It was early enough that they had to hang around at Grammy and Poppa's house for a few hours before the zoo opened, and by the time they finally got to the zoo they were just too excited to contain themselves.
Then they woke up and had a great day at the zoo. They had a special Lego exhibit there, this was one of the pictures.
And then they got to ride a few of the animals.
The girls were returned home exhausted and happy, just as you should be after a perfect day at the zoo!
