The weather is warm! Or at least warmer, we'll just forget about the snow yesterday. The daffodils and tulips have poked their way through the dirt and started to bloom. Our apricot tree just couldn't wait any longer to bloom, so we are hoping and praying a frost doesn't come along and steal away all our future apricots like it did last year. The warmth and the sunshine could inspire anyone to dance.
On a completely unrelated note, this morning my alarm went off at 5:00 a.m., just like normal. Sweetheart has had a weird fever that comes and goes and doesn't seem related to anything, and it showed up for a little while last night, so the first thing I did this morning was climb up on her bunk bed to take her temperature. After verifying that the fever was truly gone again, I bent over and gave her little shoulder a kiss, but in the dark I missed and got something fuzzy. I looked closer and discovered I had just kissed a stuffed toy panda, right on the bum. Right then Sweetheart started talking in her sleep, yelling out, "Hand me that sword!"
Oh, my life is strange! My exhausted, barely awake self started to laugh, and has been laughing at that bizarre moment all day long.
