An ode to ruffle-bum tights

When I was first pregnant, I was sure the baby was a boy. I was so sure that I called her "he" and bought a blue baby book. Thank goodness I hadn't started filling out the pages yet! I was asked once what I would do if the baby was a girl. The truth is that I didn't care the gender. When I finally got a baby, I didn't even care if it was genetically mine, I just wanted to take that baby home and keep it. So, I told this person that if we found out it was a girl, I would go that day and buy some ruffle bum tights because I would be so excited it was a girl.

The day of the ultrasound, I was excited to show everyone how right I was about it being a boy, and then start filling out info in my blue baby book. When the tech said girl, I asked her to repeat herself. A couple of times. And then I fell in love with the idea of having a girl.

And I bought ruffle-bum tights:

Hehe, I love ruffle-bum tights. This could very well be the same pair she came home from the hospital in. They just actually fit now!

See those little ruffles sticking out from under her dress? Cutest thing ever. Except maybe her cute face.

Aaawwwwwww!!!!

I LOVE ruffle bums. Alas, I have no tights. But I have bought my girls several pairs of pants with ruffle bums. Very irresistable.
