More random cuteness...

My cute sis that babysits Sweetheart has jury duty this week, so Marquis got to stay home with the baby yesterday while I went to work. As I was sitting at my desk wishing I was home with them, Marquis somehow knew I needed a pick me up and I got a text message on my cell phone of this:

Is that the cutest thing ever, or what? I have many reasons for loving this picture. First, I love that she is in Daddy's boots and thinks she's cool stuff. That is adorable. Second, I love that, unlike me, Marquis didn't even think about picking up her pjs from the floor in the background to get them out of the shot. It's just a slice of real life, and it makes it so I can picture their morning together. I also love that he put her in a dress, not because he likes dresses, but because he knew that is what I like. I love the messy hair in the face. This picture made my day, and everyone that I know (and some that I don't) at work was forced to look at this picture while I paraded my cell phone up and down the cubicles.

For the second degree of cuteness today, I have a story. We have been trying to teach Sweetheart sign language. She has a few signs down; all done, more, etc. We have worked a little on again, but not much. This morning I caught a wiff of something unpleasant and said, "Are you poopy again?" She stopped what she was doing, did the sign for again, then laid down. After I was done changing her diaper and said all done, she did the sign for all done, then sat up and started playing again. I love watching how quickly she is learning!

And lastly, here is a video of one of her newest tricks. If you know my side of the family at all, you know that it is physically impossible for us to smile with our eyes open. You can choose, eyes open or smile, but not both. Sweetheart has picked up on this, and has started trying to smile like Mom.
