First up, we must be doing something right, because she has learned to fold her arms:

She'll even bow her head sometimes for the prayer, too, but she's got the folding arms thing down pat. We are still working (not too hard) on getting her to sit still through the whole prayer, but we aren't always successful. One time she even said a very loud "Yayyy!!" when she was able to get away from Daddy in the middle of the prayer. I couldn't help but laugh a little.
Sometimes when being asked to perform, you can get confused, or merely want to go in your own artistic direction. You'll have to take my word for it (at least until I can get it on video) that she is super cute when tickling herself. She loves to tickle everyone, including her doll and stuffed animals, but most especially loves to tickle her own belly button. However, in this video, despite my constant encouragement, she chose instead to say Yay, and then show you some other tricks.
Sweetheart is at the stage where she knows what she wants to communicate, but she doesn't know how, and so gets frustrated. I have started teaching her to say "Help, please" instead of getting angry. She says it constantly! It sounds like "Happy," and I think it's the cutest thing ever. It was especially cute this morning when she was saying while trying to cover up my leg with my robe. Apparently I wasn't being modest enough, haha! Don't worry, you don't see any of my leg in this video.
And for the grand finale, she is finally walking!
This video does not fully demonstrate her walking skills. She doesn't usually flop to the ground so spectacularly, but I do love how she fell and then turned it into some cute little leg kicking, as if the fall was totally intentional and had been in the plan all along. Oh, and yes that looked like running in the previous video on the couch. For some reason, she walks/runs WAY better on soft surfaces, like the couch and the bed. Why?? You got me.
And that ends today's performance, thank you all for coming. We hope to see you back here again soon!
