Gale Center part two

The Gale Center, especially the farm equipment display out back, seemed so much like something Marquis's parent's would like that I called and told them about it right away. Since most of the cousins were still in town, we decided to take them over, and I took a lot more pictures this time! We ended up being the only ones there for most of our time, and so had the full attention of one of the docents. She was so fantastic! The kids started in the schoolroom where they practiced their letters.

Then out for recess and sack races.

From there they went into the house...

...and then out back where my children showed a bit of the insanity they inherited from Marquis. See those chicken eggs? Apparently they had to be organized by color. Crazy kids!

Sweetheart had to climb almost all the way inside the chicken coop to get the eggs.

Samantha, cooking the fish the boys caught in the stream.

CG helped Sweetheart do some grocery shopping in the little store there.

The tepee was a lot of fun, too, especially when they got to play the Indian drum.

What cute kids!
They have a whole display about medical stuff, and for some reason this exercise bike was the biggest hit ever. We stayed here for longer than any other exhibit.

The candy on the way out was a big hit, too.

The docent even took us outside and opened up the sod house so we could see inside, and then started up the water so the kids could take turns using the water pump.

What a fun day!
