Stake Conference at the Conference Center

We had an awesome opportunity to go to stake conference at the conference center downtown, presided by President Monson. It was wonderful to be in the same room as the prophet! Sweetheart even did a good job sitting relatively quietly through the whole two hours. We brought some sandwiches and after it was over we found a surprisingly private little spot near the reflection pond for a picnic. It was so nice to just relax and spend time together in a beautiful spot. With yummy sandwiches.

Marquis thinks this picture is funny because it looks like she is taking communion. Wrong religion, silly boy!



Even though it was a very private spot, it was not long before we had quite a few visitors. There was a little bird that stopped by and so Marquis threw it a bit of the bread from his sandwich. Within just a few minutes we had about thirty little friends eager to help us finish our lunch. Luckily we had an extra piece of bread to share.

They were so cute, and Sweetheart had a great time chasing them.
