Lessons in patience

Sweetheart has been to every doctor's visit and ultrasound for this new baby except one, which was the first one back when people were still freaked out about H1N1 and no little kids were allowed in the hospital unless they were sick. Going to that many doctor's visits, ultrasounds and visits to the lab is not really what most two-year-olds would consider fun, although she has done really well and has been a good sport. She likes talking to the doctor, and she likes to hear the baby's heartbeat. She recognizes that the ultrasounds images are supposed to be a baby. But all that waiting and waiting and waiting is just rough. She has been learning some good lessons on patience. I think, though, that Marquis and I have learned even more about patience, like, most importantly, a blue sucker and some crayons can go a long, long way!

You are so brave! I've only taken Roman with me to 1 appointment. I was going to take him with me today, but chickened out, I was afraid how it would go!
