Sweetheart's One-Liners

I haven't done one of these in awhile! It's for sure not because she has nothing funny to say, and instead because she has changed from one-liners to whole stories, and this old brain can't remember that much before I can get it typed out. Here are a few for you.

Quick, mom, quick! Eat that bite before the clock strikes twelve!

Marquis asked Sweetheart if she would say the prayer on the food at dinner, and asked her who she wanted to help her, meaning either me or him. She very excitedly said, "Jesus!" Good answer, Sweetheart!

She has been on a kick lately about growing up and getting married. We have had the conversation several times about how she can't marry her dad, he is already very taken. Last night in the car she went into a very detailed story, "Someday when I grow up, I will be big, and then I will find the guy and we will get married. I will go to the castle and the guy will be there for me. I will have a pretty dress and then I will get married and then dance and dance!" It went on and on like this for a long time. I think someone has been watching too many princess movies!

Marquis and Sweetheart were watching the movie Thor. This is a spoiler, so don't read if it will bug you to know what happens in this movie. There is a part where Thor tries to pick up his hammer and he can't because at that point he is not worthy. It's  a really sad part of the movie, complete with very sad music. The music in movies really seems to affect Sweetheart a lot, and during this part she started sobbing uncontrollably. We got her calmed down, but then she cried again at the end when he kind of died. The movie got happy very soon after that so it didn't take long to get her calmed down that time. We were trying to figure out why she took it so hard, but then later she came up and was telling me about the movie. "Daddy was trying to get the hammer, and he couldn't and it was so sad. And then Daddy died! But then he woke up and his hammer came back and it was okay." Can you see it?

Hmmm, yummy!
