One thing I wanted to make sure to do while CG was here was decorate the Christmas tree. Usually when we have her for Thanksgiving we do it before she goes back, and the years that we have her for Christmas we wait until she gets here. This year was super fun because Sweetheart's "help" actually was rather helpful. Most of the time.
Because we had lots we wanted to do and not much time, we ended up doing this when CG had a friend over, but she didn't seem to mind and jumped right in to help out.
The only thing Princess got to help with is putting on her own little bird. We each have a bird, a big one for me and Marquis and a little one for each of the girls, and each year we hang them all in a little bunch because we like to be together.
The birds were actually decorations on the "wedding" cake we had at our luncheon when we were sealed that I then licked the frosting off and turned into ornaments. It's rather cheesy I know, but if you don't know that I'm cheesy, then either: A. You don't know me in real life and/or B. You haven't been reading this blog long enough.
And yes, we do have a Coke can as the star on our tree. Later I might just tell you the story that goes along with that Coke can, but not today. Today you just get to wonder.
