Sweetheart's One-Liners

CG is here!!! It is her spring break and we are just enjoying having her here, so blogging might be a little sparse this week. To tide you over, the latest round of funny/strange things my kid says.

Sweetheart and I have a game we play. I will ask her, "Do I love you?" and she will say, "Yes!" and I will say, "How much?" and she will say, "A whole, whole, whole lot!" One day at lunch she turned the game around on me. She said, "Mommy, do you know how much I love you?" and I said, "A whole lot?" and she said, "Yes! And do you know how much I love my sister?" and I said, "How much?" and she said, "Just a little bit." I think the real question is, which sister was she talking about?

In her class at church they were telling a story about prayer, and in the story there was a boy who thought he lost a five dollar bill. In the middle of this serious story Sweetheart said, "Maybe dragons took it!"

The concrete guys came to pour our new driveway, and Sweetheart watched them very excitedly out the window. She gave me a running commentary that went something like this: "Mom, look at those guys! They are helpful guys, and they are being helpful and fixing our driveway. And mom they have tools! See those helpful tools? Those helpful guys are going to use those helpful tools to fix our driveway!" Rinse and repeat, on and on. A little later that same day I was helping her go potty, and she said, "Mom, that is so helpful, thank you!"
