Welcome to another round of funny stuff my kid says!
While I was painting my toenails one day, "Mom, I really like your big toes." After I thanked her for the strange compliment, she crinkled her nose and said, "I really don't like your other toes at all, though."
"Mom, I think we really need some chocolate right about now." The force is strong in this one. And yes, we did break out the chocolate right then.
Sweetheart loves fish. She will usually eat as much fish as me or Marquis in one sitting, telling you how yummy it is the whole time. One day we were eating dinner and Sweetheart said, "Mmmm, this fish is so good! They killed it so well!"
I sent both girls to go grab a diaper for Princess. I overheard Sweetheart coaching Princess in how to choose the perfect one, and I heard, "No, you don't need lots of diapers, you only have just one bum. Just like I do, see?" There are times as a parent you don't go investigate because you just don't want to know. That day I chose to not know how exactly Sweetheart was showing Princess that she only had one bum.
We had Marquis's family over for dinner on Princess's birthday, and Sweetheart was excitedly showing them the decorations, and as she showed them the cake (that I had made), she proudly said, "Look at the cake I made!" We all laughed and someone said, "You made it, huh?" And she said, "Yes I did, but mommy helped." Thanks for allowing me to help, dear! She also took credit for the homemade croissants, which I apparently also helped with.
And lastly, here is just a cute picture. A healthy shoe obsession needs to be cultivated early, right? And what better way than taking cute pics when they try on other people's shoes? (Please ignore the fact that my baby isn't wearing pants. They say to choose your battles, and I'm choosing not to fight this one.)
