(So let's just pretend for a minute that this isn't over a month after her birthday, m'kay? Thanks.)
Sweetheart had a birthday! Poor girl, we moved the very next day, but despite all the chaos, we were still able to celebrate our sweet baby's special day. I should say our sweet 5-year-old's special day, but I'm not going to stop thinking of her as my baby, ever!
I decorate the dining area of our house the night before someone's birthday, and Sweetheart was practically bouncing that morning when she woke up and realized that this time the decorations were for her.
She also thought she needed a special hairdo for her special day. I put in the French braid she requested, and then she added her own special touch.
Lovely!
Marquis's parents came by with their birthday wishes, and a gigantic balloon bouquet.
Hooray for presents!
I was very strongly informed by Sweetheart that her cake needed to be chocolate, with lots of chocolate frosting. "Not that white kind mom, it needs to be really chocolaty, okay?" Thankfully it doesn't take much to talk me into making something more chocolaty!
That next Sunday we celebrated with my family and she got to open presents there.
She really enjoyed her day!
Because of the move I'm afraid we waited a long time to do her birthday experience, but the pics for that will be coming!
