If you've been following along so far, you know that we have moved in with my brother and his lovely wife and daughters to save money while we look for a house.
Well, I think we found it. We love this little house and we want to move in, hopefully before Christmas! But before we can do that, we have to get all our ducks in a row and get the financing taken care of.
Things might be a little quiet around here as I've been spending much of my days gathering papers to send to the underwriter, calling contacts to get other papers to send them, doing dances for them, juggling and doing handstands. Oh, and they want to know exactly how many times I cut my toenails in 2003, and just how often I roll over in my sleep every night. And can I please get some kind of documentation to prove that? Don't forget to have that documentation notarized, by the way.
I'm really hoping by the end of this performance that they say that we can have our house, although I must admit that some days I wonder. Maybe we'll just live in my brother's basement forever. His daughters do the dishes and play with my girls, it's not a bad gig!
In the meantime, what is the best way to deal with the stress of home buying? I think eating chocolate is the obvious answer! And why not eat it in the form of frozen bananas dipped in dark chocolate, and then shared with your two favorite little ones?
If that face doesn't make you feel better at the end of another stressful day, nothing will!
