Sweetheart's One Liners

My cuties enjoying some lunch

I usually am the one that helps Sweetheart with her homework, but one night last week I had a lot of work to do and asked Marquis to help her instead. She really didn't like the idea, and kept asking my Mom couldn't do it. Marquis finally asked her why she didn't want his help, and she replied, "Because I love her so much better!"

She might love me better, but Dads are still good for some things. The next day while eating lunch she was telling me a dramatic story (this happens often, this girl is a good storyteller) about how some bad guys would come in the door and steal her away. I told her that would make me sad and I'd miss her, so I would never let that happen. She looked at me with a look that said she thought I was pretty stupid, and then she said, "Well, Daddy will come and save me from the bad guys, so it'll be okay."

Just today at lunch Sweetheart was telling me that my brother and his wife (who we are currently living with) really like their house clean, so we need to make sure that we clean up our messes so they can walk on the floor and see that it's so clean, "because we're kind of expert on this!"

One from Princess, and not anything that she said, but something she did instead. The other day we were hanging at their grandparent's house and she was pretending to talk on the phone. When she was done talking she then took her phone and tucked it in the neck of her shirt just below her shoulder. If she had a bra strap there to hold it up it might have even worked.
