Through Their Eyes

I've done something very similar to this before when Sweetheart had my camera one day, but I just had to do it again. Sweetheart is better at working my phone than I am, and anytime I leave it unattended I will usually find surprise pictures on there.

Here are just a few examples:

I call this one, "Mommy works in strange positions."

And this one, "Sister's nostril."

 (As a strange side note, I've always found Princess's nostrils to be especially triangular. I have never noticed the shape of anyone else's nostrils ever. And why am I telling you this? Yeah, I don't know.)

I call this one, "Just chillin'.'"

And this last one, "Accidental self portrait."

The best part by far, though, was finding these two little videos. As a little back story, the girls love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and we sometimes sing the songs. This is a singing house, what can I tell you?  I was telling my sister how cute it was to hear Princess try to say the word "scrumptious," and she asked me to send her a video of it, so I had the girls stand together and we sang the song. A few days later, I found this on my phone:

The funniest part to me is that I was obviously right there in the background, and at one point it even looks like I put something on the table next to her, and I somehow completely missed that she was recording. There are a whole series of these videos, like six or seven, so I somehow missed it six or seven times. Oops.

Also, I have taught my kids the wrong words to Truly Scrumptious. It was accidental, but really, don't you like homemade apple pie better than cherry peach parfait? I sure do.

A few days later I found this:

Apparently someone has been watching her big sister really closely! Again, I was right there, you can hear me in the background, but somehow I completely missed what was going on.
