"My theory is that all of Scottish cuisine is based on a dare."

~Mike Meyers, So I Married an Axe Murderer

That quote is true, you know. With the exception of Scottish eggs and sausage rolls (which are delicious!), all Scottish food is gross. Although, I've only had Scottish eggs and sausage rolls in the U.S., and sausage in Scotland was super nasty, so I don't think I would like either one there, either! Thankfully, each year we have the opportunity to go try the Americanized versions at our local Scottish Festival.

We decided last minute to visit the Scottish Festival again this year. We went last year and the girls had a great time! This year we met some of my family there, and it was even better with cousins to play with!

For some reason I ended up with only this one picture. I missed the pics of the littles browsing in the shops, looking at fairies and swords and lovely dresses. I didn't get the pics of their train ride on the mini train, or of their enthralled faces as they watched dancers and bagpipers. What kind of a blogger doesn't take way too many pictures of every single little thing?!? Oops.

Looks like we'll have to go get more Scottish eggs next year, along with more pictures!
