Yes, I'm finally getting to back to school stuff! I'm not one of those moms that celebrates the beginning of a new school year. I'm the mom who takes too many pictures on the front porch, cries a lot, and then wanders the house listening for little voices that aren't there all day long.
This girl, though, was super excited to go back to school and be a gigantic first grader who takes her own lunch to eat at school and everything! Who needs mom, anyway?
Princess had a rough time with her sister being gone all day, too. Who was she supposed to fight with, anyway? We decided that since we had the car for once, we would give ourselves a distraction and go for a picnic in the park.
She even did some bird chasing.
She decided she is pretty sneaky, but she still didn't catch any birds.
My first grader came home glowing and excited about her new teacher and her new class, and I only cried a little the second day, and not at all the day after that.
And then Princess started preschool, but that is another post for another day!
