Sweetheart's 7th Birthday

I was already so, so, so hopelessly behind here, and then a whole month went by without a single post. Sigh. Someday I want to be caught up, to write the posts before the memories fade, to capture each moment for me and my family. A lot of the stuff that is sucking my time goes away in February, so I'm hoping and praying for a least a moment to sit down and breathe! In the meantime, I'm going to try to get a few more posts on here.

We had done Sweetheart's birthday adventure a few weeks before her actual birthday, and then we had a small family party a few days before. 

And she got Legos! Oh, the Legos. She loves them so much! And I've only stepped on those tiny daggers half a dozen times so far.

And then we ate chocolate cake! Yum!

We started doing the birthday adventures instead of presents, because our kids don't need more stuff. But then I couldn't let her real birthday pass without celebrating somehow, so she got a small present,

and more cake!
