The following pictures were taken by my friend Amy back in April. See the sidebar for her info to have her take your kids pictures, because how cute are these!?! I've been meaning to post them forever and am now finally getting around to it. Check out this fiery red mohawk!
These pictures have nothing to do with my confession, I just have no pictures to go with it and wanted to share these. Although I guess they do have to do with my confession because see this girl?
It's all about her. My Princess doesn't sleep through the night yet. I have let pretty much everyone I've talked to about it believe that she does, but it's just not at all true. See, here's what happened. There is an amazing book called Babywise that teaches you how to get your baby to sleep through the night. I read it and used it with Sweetheart, and she was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks. And it was awesome! So a couple of weeks before Princess was born, I read the book through again to make sure I remembered everything, and I got started right as soon as she made her appearance. At 8 weeks old, she started sleeping through the night, and it was wonderful! I couldn't believe I had done it again. And I told everybody how awesome I was.
In the book it mentions that there will be times that your baby will still occasionally wake up in the night for teething or a growth spurt or many other reasons. It told exactly what to do so that that would only last a few nights. I was not surprised at all the first time Princess woke up in the night, or the night after that, or the night after that. And then I realized something.
I kind of like getting up with my baby in the middle of the night. I'm not a fan of being up for hours, but waking long enough to collect her from her crib (or wake Marquis to go do it for me), dozing while nursing and cuddling her in bed, and then kissing her soft, sweet-smelling head as I lay her back down is really pretty nice. She goes right back to sleep and only does this once per night. There has been a little bit of an inner battle going on for awhile now, do I do what the books says, do the sleep training and get her sleeping through the night again? Or do I just keep enjoying this special time that I have with my very last baby, because before I can blink she will be in college and not in need of her old mom any more? But now that I think about it, the choice is pretty easy.

My goodness, I am so jealous of all the pink in your house! I love that I can get my girl fix at any time with your little ones though! :)
You need some pink, too!! Let your hubby know that I decided that it is time for you two to have your girl. Of course you can still love on my girls anytime, I love that, but I can't wait for you to have a girl, too!
