Say cheese!

The first time I took Sweetheart to the dentist she flat out refused to open her mouth. She at least sat in the chair and talked to the nice lady and looked at all the tools, but that's it. The second time she let them clean her four front teeth and that's all. Each time she was timid and shy and just seemed uncomfortable. But this time? 

This time she eagerly greeted the nice lady, told her how excited she was to be at the dentist that day and then gladly hopped up into the chair. Do you see the size of that smile?

That smile might also have been because the nice lady was turning up the volume on Tangled for her, I'm not sure. Either way, they were able to get in a full cleaning on my great big girl, and get in there enough to discover two pesky little cavities. Drat!

We decided to have a dentist party and each took our turn in the chair. This was Princess's very first visit to the dentist, and she was so excited! Princess has an extra tooth right in the front on the top, and they wanted an x-ray of it. As the lady was setting everything up, I was telling Princess that they wanted a picture of her tooth. She quickly opened her mouth as wide as she could, even though we were nowhere near close to being ready for the x-ray. She did the same thing any time I mentioned them wanting to look at or clean her teeth, that girl was so on it!

All of us were surprised when she let them complete the entire cleaning her very first time there. I think she even did better than Daddy!
