Our April Grand Adventure revolved entirely around CG's trip to see us during her spring break. (For more information on our Grand Adventures, see this page here.) We pretty much just stayed home, but there was much merriment and fun to be had.
Now that we had her bedroom all ready to go, we were ready for the guest of honor! Because of a ton of flight delays (crappy flight delays, blah!) she arrived around dinnertime instead of lunch, like she was supposed to. The littles were so excited and had been staring out of the windows all day waiting for their big sister, so for the rest of the night, this right here is pretty much all the personal space CG got.
We had some more corned beef and cabbage for dinner that night, because CG loves it as much as me and Marquis do.
It is such a huge blessing that these sisters are so close, even though they spend so much time apart! I love seeing a nice pile of snuggling sisters.
Spring Break also happened to coincide with Easter. We don't usually go to the big Easter egg hunts because most of the candy isn't safe for Sweetheart's food allergies, and instead we do our own at our house and fill the eggs with a little safe candy, and also with other "treats" like hair ties, temporary tattoos and stickers.
We invited over a bunch of cousins and Grandma and Grandpa for the festivities, and so they could all spend some good time with CG.
We also made the trek to Marquis's parents' house for a lot more cousin/grandparent/aunt/uncle time. We enjoyed a delicious meal...
and a whole lot more snuggles. Sorry for the blurry here, I just can't get Princess to hold still, ever!
We spent the night at Marquis's parents' house that night so we would be closer to the airport in the morning, and guess who visited that night?
Yep, the Easter Bunny found us, even though we weren't at home. Of course, Princess noticed the candy right away.
The girls were pretty excited about their stash, including the big girl, even if she wasn't too sure about this picture taking business early in the morning.
And yet she still looks gorgeous, not fair!
Right after that we were off to the airport, sending CG back to California. This trip was way too fast, but then again, it always is.
