An Incredibly Huge Post About Christmas

I keep getting further and further behind, and so I am mashing a whole bunch of pictures into one gigantic post. Today I present to you our entire Christmas.

(FYI: If you have been following along with our Grand Adventures, for December we called our entire Christmas experience our Grand Adventure. The end. An explanation for our fabulous monthly week-long vacations/Grand Adventures is here, and our other adventures are here: AprilMay part 1May part 2JuneJulyAugustSeptemberOctober, November part 1 and November part 2.)

First up, somewhere in the craziness of Christmas, my sweet girl stopped and reminded me what it's all about, and I somehow was able to snatch a picture of it. I love my girl!

We had a few different parties to go to, and on the way to celebrate with Marquis's parents and siblings, we stopped to pick up a present for his brother. He likes some of the same geeky fantasy books that Marquis and I like, and on the way to buy one of these books we discovered that the author would be at the bookstore doing a signing. What a happy day! We got to geek out a bit with one of our favorite authors, and got him to sign the book for Marquis's brother. Nice!

This is just one of the presents our girls received that night, isn't this cute?

Sadly, there was a tragic kitchen accident in which Princess lost a hand.

Fortunately we found it later, phew!!!

Here is another gift we received. Curse you, Jake and the Neverland Pirates! My girls love pirates more than just about anything thanks to this incredibly cute show with songs that get stuck in your head and never, ever, ever leave. Ahoy!!!

For the big partay for my side of the family, we crashed my grandparents' house and brought a lot of food and presents.

New princess nightgowns! Why don't these come in my size?

Christmas Eve my sister, her hubby, and their handsome son came to spend the evening with us. Instead of making gingerbread men cookies for Santa, my sister picked up this awesome kit for making ningerbread men. Yes, ningerbread men. You know, ninjas instead of.. oh never mind.

You can't decorate ningerbread men without busting out your best ninja moves!

Sweetheart wasn't all that interested in ninjas, and so found some lovely lady cookie cutters, then decided eating the frosting was more fun anyway.

Finally the moment came, that wonderful morning full of presents and awesomeness. Princess was so excited to see her very full stocking that she gave it a big hug.

"How did Santa know I love oranges? It's like magic!"

Watch out, some of those presents might try to take a bite of your finger!
